With the 2020 Utah State Legislative Session just around the corner, members of the ChamberWest Legislative Affairs Committee are ramping up their work reviewing and influencing policy impacting our business community.   The eight subcommittees:  Air Quality, Business and Government Relations, Economic Development and Business Sustainability, Education and Workforce Development, Healthcare, Housing, Transportation, and Water Conservation and Development.  I’d like to thank the many members of this important committee for the work they do in supporting a thriving business community.

Registration is open for the Women in Business luncheon scheduled for Tuesday, January 14^th.  As this bi-monthly program focuses on professional growth, the name has changed to the Women in Business Professional Growth Series which includes lunch.  We’re excited to hear from Ann Marie Wallace, State Director of the Women’s Business Center of Utah, about what makes Utah women so great at running their own enterprises, along with current trends, challenges and unique opportunities. With the Annual Awards Gala just around the corner, there are opportunities for sponsorship if interested.  This year’s theme is ‘Calling All Troops – Operation ChamberWest’ with a military theme.
