Good afternoon!
 
On Memorial Day, we honor U.S. military personnel who gave the ultimate sacrifice while in service to our country.  While many take the opportunity to visit memorials and cemeteries, attend memorial services, and/or enjoy family gatherings, the holiday also marks the unofficial beginning of summer.  The summer months will be a busy time for ChamberWest and our members.  
 
 The Annual Awards Gala, planned at the end of August, gives us the opportunity to recognize fifteen finalists in five award categories – Business of the Year, Best Place to Work, Small Business of the Year, Best new Business, and Volunteer of the year.  In addition, the ChamberWest Board of Governors selected Jon Butterfield, Administrator, Holy Cross Hospital as our 2023 Hall of Fame Award recipient.  Jon has been a stalwart supporter of our ChamberWest business community.  Jon served on the ChamberWest Board of Directors for many years, five in leadership as he transitioned through the different chair positions. 
 
We are calling out foraward nominations for our five business award categories which include: Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Best Place to Work, Best New Business of the Year, and Volunteer of the Year.  If you or a member business you know would be a great candidate for this great recognition, please take a couple of minutes to fill out a brief nomination form, available at:    23CW Award Nomination Form-fill.pdf.  Nominations are due by June 30. 
 
 The Leadership Board of Directors are accepting applications for the 2023/2024 Leadership Institute Program which starts on September 13.  If you have an amazing leader in your organization or someone you want to invest in as you expect they will do great things, you may be very interested in sending them through this impactful and highly acclaimed program.  You can find more information and an application for participation at:  ChamberWest Leadership Institute.  This program is limited to 30 participants with a maximum of two a year per organization.   There are two scholarships available for non-profit or businesses with less than 20 employees.   
 
On June 13^th, the Women in Business Professional Growth Series Luncheon will feature Julianna Christie, speaking on ‘How to resolve Conflict Like a Pro’.  Plan to join us for another fun networking and education opportunity with colleagues and friends.  This month’s event will also feature a fun patio party at the Embassy Suites – West Valley so be sure to arrive early!  Register today at:  CW Women in Business Luncheon   
 
There are six seats remaining for the ChamberWest Italy Trip scheduled for October 14-22.  If interested, you can access more information at: Italy Trip Information.  If you are ready, fill out the registration information: Italy Trip Registration and return it to the chamber office to secure your seat(s).  
 
The ChamberWest Golf Classic, scheduled for June 21^st at the Stonebridge Golf Club is sold out!  We are looking forward to hosting 192 golfers with 30+ sponsors.  Many thanks to
