CW Leadership Communication - Job Fair - Stellar Opportunities

It’s so exciting to be into the fall season with cooler temperatures and a sense of settling back into a sense of normalcy.  The question today is - Are you fully staffed?  Do you want to influence and make those who will make up our future workforce aware of your organization and industry?  The Fall Community Job Fair is scheduled for October 20th from 2:00 – 6:00 pm at Taylorsville High School.  The job fair continues as a collaborative effort between ChamberWest, the Jordan School District, Granite School District, Utah Department of Workforce Services, and Salt Lake Community College.  Chamber members can access an employer table at the event for no charge. Registration is also available at: https://business.chamberwest.com/events/details/chamberwest-job-fair-oct-20-2022-2275?calendarMonth=2022-10-01. There are also sponsorship opportunities available as we promote through our partners, print and social media, and other means.  If you are interested in participating, feel free to reach out to chamber staff at 801-977-8755.

  •  Women in Business Professional Growth Series Luncheon, scheduled for Tuesday, October 11th from 11:30 – 1:00 pm at the Residence Inn Marriott-West Jordan. Hillory Dahle, a highly recognized Life Design Coach, will share valuable information on ‘5 Steps to Stillness’.   It’s time to invest in yourself!  By the way, registration is open to everyone as we all work together to celebrate and elevate women.  More information and registration is available at: https://business.chamberwest.com/events/details/chamberwest-professional-growth-series-1846?calendarMonth=2022-10-01.

The Professional Development Committee continues to knock it out of the ballpark with stellar presenters and an escalation of attendees.  If you haven’t already, register for the Professional Development Series Luncheon, scheduled for Tuesday, October 18th from 11:30 – 1:00 pm at the Jordan Valley Water Conservancy Garden Park Venue.  The topic is: ‘You Can Be Your Own Best Champion!’ as presented by the one and only Mary Crafts.  This will be a high energy and motivational presentation that you will want to attend.  More information and registration is available at: https://business.chamberwest.com/events/details/chamberwest-professional-development-series-1851?calendarMonth=2022-10-01.  Bring staff, colleagues, and friends as they will thank you!

The 2022 CW Fall Business Conference, scheduled for November 9th at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center is fast approaching!   With the economy in transition, we have Robert Spendlove presenting on ‘An Economy in Transition’ and back by popular demand and with new information and a new book, Scott Jeffrey Miller will present on ‘Master Mentors – 30 Transformative Insights from our Greatest Minds – Volume 2’.  Attendees will choose two of the breakout sessions which include: ‘Better Together: Women, Leadership, and Male Allyship’, ‘Cloud & Cybersecurity’, ‘Water Conservation Insights and Incentives’, ‘Staying Flexible in Boom and Bust’, and ‘Mitigating Protentional Violence in the Workplace’.   We are also featuring a mayoral panel with access to our top civic leaders in our footprint.  This annual conference is a gathering of area business owners, local political leaders and other interested parties to share information, discuss the latest trends affecting business, and to help prepare for the future. Sponsorship opportunities still exist by reaching out to staff members and registration is open at: https://business.chamberwest.com/events/details/annual-fall-business-conference-1601?calendarMonth=2022-11-01
