CW Leadership Communication - Get recognized - Go LAC

Good afternoon,

Your company is amazing, right?  Or do you know of another company that is a member of ChamberWest that you believe should be recognized?  The deadline is quickly approaching as we continue to collect nominations for our five different award categories to be recognized leading up to and at the 2022 Annual Awards Gala.  The award categories include:  Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Best Place to Work, Best New Business of the Year, or Volunteer of the Year.   Please take a few minutes and fill out a brief nomination form available at:  https://chambermaster.blob.core.windows.net/userfiles/UserFiles/chambers/3110/File/CWGalaNominationFormv20122-fill.pdf

Speaking of the Annual Awards Gala, scheduled for Tuesday, March 29th, we are looking for sponsors for this signature ChamberWest event that will attract 400+ of our business and civic leaders as we celebrate award finalists and our Hall of Fame Award winner, Mayor Kristine Overson.  Sponsorship information is available at: https://chambermaster.blob.core.windows.net/userfiles/UserFiles/chambers/3110/File/22GalaSponsorships.pdf.  If interested, please reach out to me or one of our staff members for additional information.

Representing our ChamberWest footprint in addition to our local leaders are two US Senators, two US Congressmen, six Utah State Senators and 13 Utah State Representatives.  Many thanks to the hard work of the Legislative Affairs Committee members, especially during the legislative session.  This committee has over 100 participants including business leaders, mayors, legislators, and congressional staffers.  For the 2022 Legislative Session, they have taken a priority support position for the Catalytic Converter Amendments bill, HB38, a position of support for eight bills and are monitoring and reviewing an additional 40+ bills with additional bills added weekly.  You can access the most current information at: https://le.utah.gov/~2022/bills/static/HB0038.html.  If you have a bill important to your organization or industry, please reach out to me with that important information and we’ll get the information in front of the committee and our legislators.

Save your seat today for the January Professional Development Series on March 15th.  We are excited to have Chris Redgrave, presenting on “Navigating Differences in the Workplace”.  She will cover generations, cultural characteristics, and trends currently impacting our workplace to illuminate how being informed contributes to successfully working with our current workforce.  Registration is available athttps://chamberwest.com/events/details/professional-development-series-with-guest-speaker-chris-redgrave-1592.  Feel free to bring others from your organization, friends, or colleagues for this very informative event.

If we can provide any assistance, please feel free to reach out to us.  Stay safe!

Best wishes,

Barbara
