CW Leadership Communication - Chamber Luncheon - Job Fair - Fall Conference and More

Last Friday, we held our Annual Board Retreat with a focus on programming for 2023 that would be most beneficial to our members.  Many thanks to the business and civic leaders who make ChamberWest such a powerful and growing organization.  One of the highlights included the survey results many of you participated in during the first week of September.  The survey suggests we are delivering for our members.  We also received a Promoter Score of 63%!   The board felt this was a very impressive tribute to ChamberWest and the work that has been done in serving members.  We also welcomed five new members to our Board of Directors which include:

Trena Anderson, SVP/CBDO, Deseret First Credit Union
Nick Markosian, Owner, Markosian Auto
Bryan Scott, Publisher, City Journals
luni Tuaimeiuta, Owner, South Pacific Island Art
Davina Spencer, Owner, Ruff Tuff Products

Our monthly chamber luncheon,  identified as the Professional Development Series Luncheon, is scheduled for Tuesday, October 18th from 11:30 – 1:00 pm at the Jordan Valley Water Conservancy Garden Park Venue.  We will hear from a very successful business leader, Mary Crafts, speaking on: ‘You Can Be Your Own Best Champion!’  In addition to having lunch with colleagues and friends, Mary Crafts will share a high energy and motivational presentation that you will want to attend.  More information and registration is available at: https://business.chamberwest.com/events/details/chamberwest-professional-development-series-1851?calendarMonth=2022-10-01.  Bring staff, colleagues, and friends as they will thank you!

Let us know if you would like to participate in the Fall Community Job Fair,  scheduled for Thursday, October 20th from 2:00 – 6:00 pm at Taylorsville High School.  The job fair is a collaborative effort between ChamberWest, the Jordan School District, Granite School District, Utah Department of Workforce Services, and Salt Lake Community College.  Chamber members can access an employer table at the event for no charge.
