CW Communication - Gala - Award Nominations - Leadership Institute and more

Good afternoon!

The summer is whipping by as June will soon be in the rear-view mirror.   It’s been an exciting kick off to summer with festivals, kids, vacations, and of course work!  😊.  In June, we hosted our biggest golf tournament to date with 190 golfers, 33+ sponsors, and over $17,000 in raffle items.  Thanks much to all who participated and contributed to such an amazing day!  Photos will be coming out soon.

An opportunity with membership is the ability to nominate an amazing business or ChamberWest volunteer for the 2023 Annual Awards in five award categories: Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Best Place to Work, Best New Business of the Year, and Volunteer of the Year.  If you or a member business you know or work for would be a great candidate for recognition, please take a couple of minutes to fill out a brief nomination form, available at:  CW Award Nomination FormThe deadline for nominations has been extended to July 7.

The Annual Awards Gala with this year’s theme of Stars of ChamberWest, A Hollywood Night, scheduled for August 30 at the Maverik Center is our biggest event of the year.  Join over 400 attendees for a fun evening recognizing and celebrating business success while spending time with colleagues and friends.   We look forward to recognizing the fifteen award finalists, announcing the five winners, and honoring our Hall of Fame Award Recipient, Jon Butterfield, CEO, Holy Cross Hospital Jordan Valley.  If you are interested in a sponsorship of this important signature ChamberWest event, information is available at:  23 Gala Sponsorship Information.  You can also reach out to Barbara Riddle at 801-540-6312 or Connie Bailey at 801-977-8755 or any chamber staff member for assistance and information.

The LeadershipBoard of Directors are continuing to accept applications for the 2023/2024 Leadership Institute Program which starts September 13-14.  If you have an amazing leader in your organization or someone you want to invest in as you expect they will do great things, you may be very interested in sending them through this impactful and highly acclaimed program.  You can find more information and an application for participation at:  ChamberWest Leadership Institute.  This program is limited to 30 participants with a maximum of two a year per organization.   With funds from the golf tournament raffle, there are two scholarships available for non-profit or businesses with less than 20 employees.
