Great news for Utah small businesses!  The Utah Labor Commission, utilizing Federal CARES Act money and as part of the state’s response to COVID, announced the launch of the $2 million Small Business Quarantined Employee Grant program.  This program helps small business employers (less than 50 employees) continue to pay employees a maximum of 40 hours per week for a period of up to two calendar weeks who are required to quarantine or isolate due to a positive COVID-19 test or exposure to someone who has tested positive.  The program is being administered through the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development.

If you haven’t yet, we encourage you to take the Stay Safe to Stay Open pledge.  The centerpiece of the campaign is for businesses to take a SAFETY PLEDGE as a way to keep our economy moving forward.  Taking the pledge demonstrates to employees and customers a commitment to follow the safety guidance and helps to expand consumer confidence.

To take the “Stay Safe to Stay Open” pledge:

1. Go to stayopenutah.com and take the pledge to follow the guidelines above.

2. Fill out the short form so customers can find your business in the pledge database.

3. Receive an email confirmation with instructions on how to obtain signage demonstrating your company has taken the pledge.  We can also deliver signage to your business if preferred.

We are proud to serve as the business voice in West Valley City, Taylorsville, and West Jordan.  Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or if we can be of service.  Hope you all have a productive week!  Be positive, find and embrace the good, and stay safe.  Thanks much!
