President’s Message
Dear ChamberWest Members,
September is a busy month with many exciting events planned for our members. We are just six days away from the ChamberWest event of the year! The sold-out 2025 ChamberWest Annual Awards Gala will be held on September 10th at the Viridian Event Center. We are thrilled to recognize Superintendent Ben Horsley of Granite School District as our 2025 ChamberWest Hall of Fame Award recipient, and Representative Matt MacPherson as our Legislator of the Year.
We are also proud to celebrate the finalists in our four prestigious award categories:
- Business of the Year: CommonSpirit Holy Cross Hospitals West Jordan & West Valley, Novva Data Centers, Summit Vista
- Small Business of the Year: Chick-fil-A West Valley, City Journals, Peel Funeral Home
- Best Place to Work: Embassy Suites West Valley, Granite Credit Union, Markosian Auto
- Volunteer of the Year: Davina Spencer, Ruff Tuff Products, Retired; Mitch Ross, Express Recovery Services; and Steve Pluim, TalentTeam
In true “Oscar-style” fashion, all finalists will be celebrated throughout the Gala, with winners revealed live on stage. It will be an unforgettable evening filled with recognition, inspiration, and celebration. Guests can look forward to dazzling entertainment, stunning décor, fabulous food, high-energy networking, and the wit of our always-entertaining emcee, all coming together to make this the most memorable night of the year!
Leadership Institute 2025/2026 is now full, with the kickoff event scheduled for September 17–18. Congratulations to the 32 participants from 25 member businesses who will embark on a 10-month journey of leadership development.
With Connie’s retirement at the end of August, we are excited to welcome Gabby Viana as our new ChamberWest Office Coordinator. Gabby joined us on August 21st and will be a fantastic addition to our team. Please join me in giving her a warm welcome to the ChamberWest family.
