Dear ChamberWest Members,
Being part of ChamberWest means more than just attending events—it’s about building relationships, amplifying your business voice, and making a lasting impact in our westside communities. Whether through networking, professional development, leadership opportunities, or business advocacy, your engagement helps shape a stronger, more connected business environment for us all.
As a non-profit 501(c)(6) organization, ChamberWest is governed by a dedicated Board of Directors. If you’re interested in stepping into a leadership role and meet the eligibility requirements, I encourage you to review and complete the Board nomination form by July 31. You can access a fillable nomination form at: 25 CW Board Nomination Form.pdf
I’m also excited to announce that Ben Horsley, Superintendent of Granite School District, has been selected as the 2025 ChamberWest Hall of Fame Award recipient. He will be recognized at our Annual Awards Gala on September 10, along with finalists in our four award categories: Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Best Place to Work, and Volunteer of the Year. If you know of a deserving company or individual, please submit a nomination: 25 CW Gala Nomination Form.pdf
Our 2025 Annual Golf Tournament is officially in the books and was another great success! Thanks to the dedication of our Golf Tournament Planning Committee, chaired by Mike Rosales with Ken Garff West Valley, proceeds from this year’s raffle helped send a Cyprus High School student to FBLA Nationals in California and will also provide over $1,800 in support for Ability Inclusion Services.
Applications are now open for the 2025/2026 ChamberWest Leadership Institute—a 10-month, high-impact program designed to build and elevate leaders. The program kicks off with a retreat on September 17–18 and is limited to 30 participants (maximum of two per organization). Partial scholarships are available for nonprofits and small businesses with 10 or fewer employees. Learn more and apply here: : CW Leadership Institute.
Please also join me in congratulating Wayne Harper as he retires as Community and Economic Development Director for Taylorsville City. We’re grateful for his many contributions and look forward to continuing our relationship as he continues to serve in the Utah State Legislature. His last day with the City will be June 30.
With two major events on the horizon—the Annual Awards Gala and the Annual Fall Business Conference—we’re looking for volunteers to help with planning. If you’re interested in lending your expertise, please reach out to Monica Gayden to learn more.
