ChamberWest Communication - Happy New Year - January is on Fire!

Welcome to 2024!

With the beginning of a new year, there is much anticipation and excitement for the many programs and events planned this year!  We are kicking off with many strong programs and events including the Ambassador program, Professional Development Series, Women in Business programs, Small Business Success Series, West Region Tourism, Leadership Institute, and much more!

Legislative Season is Upon Us!
Representing west side businesses with the legislature, the CW Legislative Affairs Committee begins meeting TOMORROW (Jan 4), reviewing bills of interest to members.  They will be meeting twice weekly once the session starts to provide perspective and give input to legislators on behalf of our businesses. Many thanks to all for the participation, engagement and expertise you are so willing to share as we work to strengthen and promote our business community.  These  Committee Members utilize the approved priority documents, review legislation, take positions, and collaborate with legislators on bills of interest to our business community. If you have legislation you would like us to take action on, please feel free to reach out with the information. You can learn more at:  https://www.chamberwest.com/legislative-affairs/.

With our first ChamberWest Event of the year just two weeks away, please take a few minutes to register for a couple of upcoming events of interest.  On January 16th, we have the opportunity to hear from Don Willie as part ot of the Professional Development Series, Don will be discussing the Progress at The Point (old prison site) and what the development will look like in the first 5 years and 99 acres of land.   Registration for this event is available at: https://chamberwest.chambermaster.com/eventregistration/register/2577.  Many thanks to Brad Knowles at Rocky Mountain Power for sponsoring this informational event.

On January 30, we will host our second Annual Membership Breakfast Meeting with members having one vote per organization to ratify the slate of new officers and board members.  Plan to join business and civic leaders as board leadership share brief highlights from the past, expectations for the future, updates on their committees, and opportunities for engagement.  You can register now for this high energy, fast moving and informative breakfast meeting at: https://chamberwest.chambermaster.com/eventregistration/register/2576.  Many thanks to White Elegance for sponsoring this inaugural event!
