ChamberWest August Update - Highlights, Retirement Announcement, and Upcoming Events at ChamberWest!

Dear ChamberWest Members,
 
As we move through the final stretch of summer, I want to thank you for the energy and momentum you continue to bring to ChamberWest. Whether you’ve been attending events, volunteering your time, or introducing new businesses to our network, your involvement is the driving force behind our continued success. We're proud to represent businesses across West Valley City, West Jordan, Taylorsville, Kearns, and Magna, and we remain committed to providing meaningful programs, strong advocacy, and opportunities that elevate your business and leadership journey.
 
We are looking forward to celebrating business and volunteer excellence at our upcoming 2025 ChamberWest Annual Awards Gala, scheduled for September 10 at the Viridian Event Center!  Superintendent Ben Horsley of Granite School District will be honored with the 2025 ChamberWest Hall of Fame Award, and Representative Matt MacPherson will receive our Legislator of the Year Award. Seats are filling up fast for the 2025/2026 ChamberWest Leadership Institute—a powerful 10-month experience designed to grow and connect leaders across sectors. The program kicks off with a retreat on September 17–18 and is limited to 30 participants (max 2 per organization). Partial scholarships are available for nonprofits and small businesses with 10 or fewer employees. Learn more and apply here: Leadership Institute Application. The application deadline is August 15, and it’s expected to sell out. Additionally, I encourage you to explore the Custom Fit Training program, which can reimburse up to 40% of your tuition and other training initiatives if you qualify. Please also join me in celebrating Connie Bailey as she retires after more than 35 years with ChamberWest. Connie has been the backbone of our operations—handling everything from membership and ribbon cuttings to finance, scheduling, and overall support with incredible dedication and grace. Her “get-it-done” mindset, problem-solving skills, and tireless commitment have truly shaped our chamber’s culture. While we’ll miss her dearly, we are thrilled for her as she begins this well-deserved chapter of retirement. Please join us in expressing our heartfelt gratitude.  If you know someone who would be a good fit for this position, please let me know.
